Our Story

Hi, I'm Suzanne and welcome to Cuddle for Keeps.

Life stories and human connection are what move me.

In 2011, when I was 26 years old, I lost my first child to stillbirth. In 2012 and 2015, with the help of a high-risk, special pregnancy program, I successfully gave birth to my rainbow babies.

I’ve also worked in healthcare for over 15 years. I’ve witnessed people’s stories unfold and have been part of their journeys; from their greatest joys – the birth of a child to the end of chemotherapy treatment – to their biggest sorrows – a terminal diagnosis to the loss of a loved one – and everything in between.

Through these highs and lows, there is a universal desire to hold on to special moments and lighten the mental load. At Cuddle for Keeps, we believe in the extraordinary power of a hug and the timeless comfort a teddy bear brings.

A creative at heart, Cuddle for Keeps is my way of bringing awareness to the challenges of neonatal, maternal and mental health care, and giving back in a way that allows further research and conversations. Every sale contributes to various organizations dedicated to advancing these critical areas, emphasizing our dedication to making a meaningful impact.

Whether celebrating the joy of a new life, honouring the memory of a lost child, or providing support during challenging times, these bears are symbols of love, resilience and hope. They are for kids, older adults and all ages in between.

Each of our journeys tells a story and what I’ve learned is that we are never alone; there is always someone smiling the same smile or fighting the same fight. Through love, loss, perseverance and growth, we discover the common threads that connect us to one another.

I’m grateful to the many people in my life, near and far, who have inspired the chapters of my story. I hope that Cuddle for Keeps inspires a small chapter of yours.
